Meet Kate Clark
Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist
ARFID Specialist
Hi, I'm Kate!
If eating feels overwhelming, stressful, or just plain hard, you’re in the right place. I’m a registered dietitian specializing in eating disorders, and I help kids (ages 0+), adults, and families heal their relationship with food. Whether you’re struggling with Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), emetophobia (fear of vomiting), OCD-related food fears, or the unique challenges that come with being neurodivergent, I’m here to help. My approach is compassionate, nonjudgmental, and tailored to you—because there’s no one-size-fits-all way to heal.
How I Help
I specialize in working with people who feel stuck in restrictive eating patterns, food-related anxiety, and sensory-driven food challenges. I help my clients expand their food choices, build confidence around eating, and make meals feel less stressful—without pressure or judgment.
For kids and families, I use elements of Modified Family-Based Treatment (FBT) to support parents in helping their child build confidence with food in a way that feels safe. And if you're neurodivergent, I understand that your needs might be different—I tailor everything to your sensory experience so that food feels less overwhelming.
How We Can Work Together
I see clients in person at Mind Belly Soul Nutrition’s Center City office and virtually in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Delaware. Whether you need hands-on support or the flexibility of virtual care, I’m here to meet you where you are.
Eating doesn’t have to feel so overwhelming. If you're ready to feel more at ease with food, less anxious about eating, and more in control of your health, I’d love to help.
Background and Expertise
Kate has extensive training and experience in eating disorder nutrition therapy, gained through her work at various eating disorder treatment centers. Her expertise includes treating disordered eating and eating disorders such as ARFID, Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and OSFED. Outside of her clinical work, Kate brings her passion for body liberation to her community through yoga and Pilates classes in the Philadelphia area.
Does This Sound Like You?
You avoid certain foods because you’re afraid of choking or gagging. Even just thinking about certain textures makes your throat feel tight.
You struggle with strong sensory reactions to food—textures, tastes, and smells can feel overwhelming, even unbearable.
You have little to no interest in eating. You forget to eat, feel full quickly, or simply don’t feel motivated to eat, even when you know you should.
You feel intense anxiety around vomiting (emetophobia), which makes you avoid foods you associate with getting sick. Maybe you only eat “safe” foods and feel panicked at the thought of trying something new.
Mealtimes feel like a constant battle, whether it's with yourself or with your child. You want to eat (or want them to eat), but it just feels too hard.
If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out on your own.
Kate’s mission is to help individuals and families heal their relationship with food, rediscover joy in eating, and experience freedom in nourishing their bodies.
