Why you can’t stop gaining weight!
Do you feel like you’ve spent your whole life losing and regaining weight?
Do you feel like every time you regain weight, your weight is even higher than the last time?
FRUSTRATING, I know.
And I also NEED you to know… if there’s a little voice in your head saying things like….
"I've been really bad lately and need to get back on track."
"I shouldn't eat sugary food, I could gain weight or get diabetes."
"That's a high fat food, I should only eat that every now and then."
"I've been eating a lot of candy lately, I need to stop buying so much of that"
“I need to stop eating after 8pm.”
… then I’d actually expect you to be gaining weight.
Allow me to explain!!
This little restrictive guilt provoking and shaming voice in your head is called the diet mindset.
If the desire for weight loss is present, so is the diet mindset.
If the diet mindset is present, you’re MASSIVELY increasing your chances of long term weight gain.
Sure, you can go on a diet and lose weight in the SHORT TERM, but the research shows us that you’ll most likely (in fact, there’s a 95% chance) you’ll gain all of the weight back within 2 years.
Thennnn there's a 60% chance you’ll gain even more than you started with!
So dieting is like a long term weight gain pill.
So, that little voice in your head (the diet mindset) is actually probably why you keep gaining weight.
Ok, so think about it….
Everyone thinks….
Eat less = weight loss
Eat better = weight loss
But really…
Deprivation = overeating EVERY TIME
Restriction = overeating EVERY TIME
Dieting = weight gain!!!!!!!
Have you ever gone to a party and set every intention to “be good,” “eat healthy,” and not “over-do it?”
You spend all night eyeing the charcuterie and telling yourself no, no, no and then eventually your will power fades and you GO ALL IN.
You feel ravenous… shoving bite after bite in your mouth.
You actually end up eating way more than if you just allowed yourself to eat the charcuterie in the first place.
This is based on the biological and psychological impact that mental and physical deprivation has on humans.
Don’t get me wrong here… I’m not suggesting just eat whatever you want, whenever you want.
Instead, you need to….
✨ Completely unravel everything you’ve ever been taught about what, when, and how much to eat.
✨ Build a new relationship with food from the ground up with no scarcity and no diet mindset.
✨Build trust in your body to tell you what, when, and how much to eat. And amplify your min-body connection so you can actually listen to your body.
